VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Mandeville Bible Church will hold a free vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon July 7-11 at the church at 217 Carroll St., Mandeville. The school is for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade.

NEWLY ORDAINED PRIESTS: Four newly ordained priests have been given parochial appointments taking effect July 2.

The Rev. Ian Bozant will be parochial vicar of Mary Queen of Peace Parish, Mandeville; the Rev. Charles Dussouy will be parochial vicar of St. Edward the Confessor Parish, Metairie; the Rev. Timothy Hedrick will be parochial vicar of St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Metairie; and the Rev. Matthew Johnston will be parochial vicar of St. Clement of Rome Parish, Metairie.

FAREWELL TO FATHER KYLE: There will be a farewell picnic for the Rev. Kyle Dave on the church grounds at 1 p.m. Sunday June 29 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 28088 Main St., Lacombe.

He has been assigned by the Archdiocese of New Orleans as the pastor to Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Belle Chasse, effective July 2.

OBLATES DAY OF REFLECTION AT ABBEY: Benedictine life in the United States will be the theme for the Oblates Day of Recollection on July 12 at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Joel Rippiniger, O.S.B., of Marmion Abbey in Aurora, Illinois.
