A man wanted for the Monday night slaying of his ex-wife and her boyfriend has surrendered without incident to the Pearl River Police Department, Chief JJ Jennings said in a news release.
Jason Magee III was spotted walking southbound on Interstate 59, Jenning said.
He was being sought for the shooting death of Jennifer Magee, 32, and Donald Gros, 35, of Marrero.
The Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in finding him. While authorities believe the shooting deaths to be an isolated incident of domestic violence, they warn that Magee is armed and could be a danger to himself and others.
The homicide victims have been identified as Jennifer Magee, 32, and Donald Gros, 34. Both victims are from Marrero.
The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family. The victims were shot in a home near Highway 41 and Max Mercer Road in Pearl River, Louisiana.
Magee is 6’4” tall, 300 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen driving a black 2015 GMC Sierra bearing Louisiana license plate number C311473.
Those with information his whereabouts are asked to call 911 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111, Seuzeneau said.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office is investigation after two people were killed in the Sixth Ward area, according to a release.
The two people were killed Monday evening near Highway 41 and Max Mercer Road in the Pearl River area, according to a release.
