The Three Rivers Art Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 15-16, on Columbia Street in downtown Covington.
The juried show of original works will feature more than 200 artists from more than 20 states with exhibits in categories ranging from painting to woodworking and everything in between. Admission is free, and 60,000 visitors are expected to attend.
The artists’ welcome party on Friday, Nov. 14, will feature entertainment by Those Oliviers and Adam Bock.
Tami Curtis, of New Orleans, is this year’s festival poster artist. Addison Riecke, of Covington, who stars as Nora Thunderman on Nickelodeon’s show about a regular family with superpowers, will be signing autographs and meeting fans at the Children’s Performing Arts Stage from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16.
Also at the Children’s Performing Arts Stage will be “Dragon and the Knight,” an interactive show from Frank Levy’s Stories in Motion; Grayhawk Perkins, a Native American storyteller; and many more exciting entertainers.
The children’s area will offer hands-on activities, including the Children’s Museum Without Walls tent, face painting, the Families Helping Families activity tent, a graffiti wall, a rotating craft tent and Painting With a Twist.
