A Covington-area horse farm owner was arrested Monday and booked with aggravated rape after he allegedly forced a 21-year old mentally disabled woman to have sex with him in an office on the farm, officials said.

Vincent Datrio, 50, remains in the St. Tammany Parish Jail with bail set at $200,000.

Datrio owns Parkview Farms on La. 21, where he allowed mentally disabled and emotionally distressed people to ride the horses in exchange for doing work on the farm, according to a St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

Datrio is accused of leading the woman into an office on the farm and raping her. The woman reported the rape to a friend who contacted the Sheriff’s Office, Capt. George Bonnett said.

Detectives believe the woman may not be Datrio’s only victim, and they are asking anyone who knows of any other incidents to call Detective Justin Parker at (985) 726-7852.
