The FBI and Slidell Police are investigating a possible link between a credit union robbery on Wednesday and a bank robbery over the weekend, a Slidell Police spokesman said.
A woman walked into the First Castle Credit Union on Gause Boulevard on Wednesday about 4:30 p.m., handed the teller a note and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Lt. Daniel Seuzeneau.
She fled on foot toward the intersection of Rue Rochelle and Gause, Seuzeneau said.
Investigators believe that the woman also robbed the Chase Bank on Gause over the weekend in a similar fashion.
Anyone with any information on the robbery is asked to call the Slidell Police Department at (985) 643-3131, the FBI at (504) 816-3000, or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
