YMCA SUMMER CAMP: The West St. Tammany YMCA is making plans for two more specialty camps this summer.

An ooey, gooey and messy art camp for ages 5 to 12 will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 23-27. Participants will explore the sticky, goopy, gross and messy side of art, making sure to choose clothes that they don’t mind dirtying. Campers also will have swim time and be able to participate in the day camp field trip that week.

A co-ed basketball camp for ages 7 to 12 will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. July 7-11. Participants will develop basic skills through drills and games in the areas of ball handling, passing, shooting and defensive techniques. Campers also will have swim time and be able to participate in the day camp field trip that week.

MANDEVILLE REPUBLICAN WOMEN’S FREE LUNCH: Mandeville Republican Women will host a free Lunch and Learn on the first Thursday of the month through August.

The next lunch will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 3 at GOP Campaign Headquarters, 19317 N. 10th St., Covington.

The lunch will be catered at the headquarters while participants learn about the operations and how they can assist. Reservations are required.
