Travis Adair, 33, was involved in a single-vehicle crash Thursday, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office. Adair was on a small dirt road off Louisiana Highway 21 near Sun where he apparently lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway.

The vehicle caught fire following the crash, and Adair became trapped inside.

The St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office has identified the body of a man found Thursday burned in a car near the community of Sun, in the northeastern corner of the parish.

Travis Adair, 33, of Bogalusa, was identified through dental records, according to Coroner spokesman James Hartman.

Adair died from smoke inhalation, Hartman said.

The call came into the Sheriff’s Office just after 10 a.m. Thursday, Capt. George Bonnett said.

Deputies are investigating Adair’s death with assistance from the Louisiana Fire Marshal’s office.
