Junior Auxiliary of Slidell installs officers
Junior Auxiliary of Slidell recently welcomes its 2014-15 president Mary Gilmore and vice president Barbara Gravois.
Junior Auxiliary of Slidell is a nonprofit service organization that dedicates its hearts and hands to community children and citizens in need. Projects are directed toward enhancing the quality of life for the people it serves.

Steve Saux, past president of the Northlake-Mandeville Rotary Club, recently announced that last year’s 10th anniversary of the club’s popular Chili Cook-Off would be the last.
Saux said the event has raised more than $100,000 for local charities. He noted the generosity of the community and the sponsors, cookers and volunteers who made the event a success.
The club plans to focus on other areas.

Kiwanis Club of Northshore Mandeville
Trey Folse, superintendent of St. Tammany Parish Public Schools was a recent guest speaker at the Kiwanis Club of Northshore Mandeville. Folse discussed the success of the schools in St. Tammany Parish. The school system is the largest employer in St. Tammany and has a large budget to manage.
