A Gulfport woman and her 12-year-old daughter have been reported missing after their vehicle was found without them in New Orleans, according to the Biloxi Sun-Herald.

[Update, 11:47 a.m.: New Orleans police say they've found the mother and daughter, and they "are not in any danger." No foul play is suspected, according to NOPD.]

Cecilia Stokes, 37, and Sophie were last seen about 11 a.m. Tuesday at their home in the 2200 block of Milner Boulevard, Gulfport Police Sgt. Clayton Fulks said in a news release.

They had planned to travel to Louisiana, Fulks said.

Stokes’ 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer was found unoccupied, he said.

The vehicle was found on Interstate 10 on Tuesday night, a family member said in a Facebook post.

Relatives told police the mother was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder and depression, Fulks said.

Gulfport police detectives are working with New Orleans police to help find them.

Stokes is 5-foot-4 and weighs 120 pounds. Sophie is 5-foot-2 and weights 85 pounds.

Both have blonde hair and blue eyes.
