Four people were shot, two fatally, in three separate incidents across New Orleans overnight, the New Orleans police said.
In the first incident, a man was found dead after a shooting in the 6600 block of Warfield Street in New Orleans East, the NOPD said. Officers responding to reports of a shooting about 6:30 p.m. found an unresponsive ma, identified as 17-year-old Leonard Warren, lying in a grassy area. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a second incident, one man was killed while another arrived at an area hospital with gunshot wounds after a shooting in Algiers. The incident occurred about 11:06 p.m. in the 2900 block of General De Gaulle Drive, police said. The shooting occurred after two vehicles were stopped at the corner, and multiple shots were fired into a gold vehicle. Officers responding to reports of a shooting located a man lying on the neutral ground with a gunshot wound to the back. He later died from him injuries. A second man shot in the incident arrived at a hospital and was undergoing surgery for gunshot wounds to his side and his leg.
A third shooting occurred less than an hour later in New Orleans East, police said. A 33-year-old man arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds after a shooting near the intersection of Hammond and Eunice Street. The shooting was first reported about 11:49 p.m. In that incident, a man went with his sister to meet her boyfriend and retrieve her cell phone, as the pair was having a domestic dispute, according to an NOPD report. The man came out of the home and began firing, police said
