A two-alarm fire in a vacant Bayou St. John home is under investigation after it was extinguishes by New Orleans firefighters early Friday morning.
Three dogs were rescued from the home by the owner as it burned just before 2 a.m. in the 900 block of North Dupre Street. When firefighters arrived on scene, they observed heavy smoke and fire coming through the roof of the two-story home.
