One man was in the process of robbing Church's Chicken in the 7th Ward when he mistakenly dropped the clip from his gun and ran off, according to a report from New Orleans police. 

The incident occurred about 9:33 p.m. at the location in the 2500 block of St. Bernard Avenue, according to the report. 

The armed man entered through an unlocked side door, according to the report, and demanded workers open the safe inside the restaurant. As he racked his gun, police said, he dropped the clip out of it. At that point he picked up the clip and fled, the report said.

• A 24-year-old man said he was sitting in his vehicle in the Gert Town area when he was carjacked, according to a police report. The incident occurred about 11:06 p.m. in the 1000 block of S. Rendon Street. The man said another car pulled up and an armed man exited. The man then pointed his gun and pulled the driver out of this car, demanding his wallet, according to the report. The driver said he did not have a wallet, and the armed man grabbed his cell phone before fleeing in the stolen car, police said. 

• A 25-year-old man said he was driving in the Central Business District when an armed man carjacked him. The incident occurred about 11:07 p.m. in the 1500 block of Iberville Street, according to a report from the NOPD. The man said as he was driving, the armed man stepped in front of his vehicle. At that point, another man demanded he exit the vehicle, and both men fled in the grey, 2014 Honda Accord, with a license plate reading 997AKS.

• About 9:05 a.m. in the 5500 block of Clements Drive in New Orleans East, police said, a 26-year-old woman's boyfriend stole her cellphone after punching her and dragging her by her hair.
