Surveillance footage from a park in LaPlace shows two persons of interest wanted by the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office in connection to the fatal shootings of 29-year-old Cameron Mack and his four-year-old daughter, Cali, May 29.

Three videos were released Thursday afternoon, showing at least two men SJBPSO is looking to question.

The first video shows a man wearing a light-colored shirt and dark-colored shorts running from Park Place in LaPlace to a nearby basketball court around 8:43 p.m. May 29. The second video, timestamped at 8:44 p.m., shows what deputies believe is the same man walking from the basketball court back to Park Place with a second person.

The third video, timestamped at 8:55 p.m., shows what appears to be the same man from the first video running from the basketball court once more to Park Place.

Mack and his daughter were shot at a public housing complex in the 100 block of Joe Parquet Circle just before 9 p.m. Mack was bringing groceries back to his apartment with his daughter in his arms when the shooting happened.

St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said Mack appeared to be targeted, but the motive was unknown.

“This does not appear to be a random act,” Tregre said. “I just hope and pray that God will lead us to the suspect.”

A $5,000 reward from Crimestoppers is being offered to anyone providing information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect or suspects in the shootings. Anyone with information can contact SJBPSO's office at 985-359-TIPS or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.

Tregre is also offering a $15,000 reward for information that might lead authorities to an arrest.
