New Orleans police on Thursday said they arrested one of three men wanted in connection with a baseball bat attack in the French Quarter last week.

Terrance Allen, 26, was booked Wednesday on one count each of aggravated battery, simple battery and aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.

Allen was arrested in connection with an incident that occurred about 2 a.m. Saturday, when police said a man standing outside of a business in the 900 block of St. Louis Street was approached by Allen.

Police said the victim in the case got into a fight with Allen, who received help from two other men. The three men then left momentarily, before Allen and one of the other men returned with a baseball bat, police said.

Police said Allen then struck the victim, got into a car with his companion and fled.

Allen remained behind bars Thursday in lieu of $15,000 bail.
