A Metairie man who has been a coach and referee at a number of Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation Department playgrounds for about 40 years was arrested for giving alcohol to three juveniles at a party he hosted, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.

The JPSO said Allen Joseph, 55, was arrested on three counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. On Aug. 5-6, Joseph allegedly hosted the juveniles at his home in the 1300 block of North Sibley Street, gave them alcohol and allowed them to get severely intoxicated.

Joseph was located by the JPSO and was initially cooperative with deputies. He admitted to supplying the victims with alcohol, the JPSO said, but invoked his right to counsel before providing a full statement.

JPSO detectives learned of Joseph's coaching and refereeing background and are concerned there may be additional victims of inappropriate behavior that have not been identified due to his long history of access to potential victims.

Anyone with information regarding Joseph, any additional offenses or this incident is asked to contact JPSO Detective Judd Harris at 504-364-5300, or contact Crimestoppers.
