Four people were arrested and their off-road vehicles were impounded after they were caught driving “recklessly” on Tulane Avenue, Louisiana State Police said.
Around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, troopers in an unmarked vehicle saw three ATVs and one dirt bike traveling southbound on Tulane Avenue. The vehicles were “blocking traffic, doing wheelies, running red lights and driving on the median,” State Police said.
The four riders were stopped and taken into custody. One rider, Aundrea Pierrce Porter, attempted to flee but was apprehended, State Police said.
The four people booked into Orleans Parish Prison were:
-- Porter, 42, of New Orleans, was booked on counts of reckless operation, no helmet, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and illegal carrying of a concealed weapon.
-- Kenneth O. Jackson Jr., 39, of New Orleans, was booked on counts of reckless operation, no helmet, possession of marijuana, cover/painted over VIN and unlawful posting of criminal activity on social media.
-- Joshua M. Kingsley, 34, of Great Falls, Montana, was booked on counts of reckless operation, no helmet and possession of marijuana.
-- Reynard O. Dunn, 36, of Great Falls, Montana, was booked on counts of reckless operation and no helmet.
