A woman said she was driving in the 7th Ward when a woman ran in front of her screaming, then she heard gunfire and was shot, according to New Orleans Police. 

The driver, 60, said she drove to her mother's house after the incident about 12:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of N. Derbigny Street. She was then transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to a police report. 

A postal carrier and several other people were also robbed between Monday and Wednesday morning. Below are details reported to New Orleans police. 

A postal carrier said she was robbed by two juveniles in the Upper 9th Ward on Monday afternoon as she was attempting to deliver a package. The woman, 49, said she was in the 2200 block of Port Street when the incident occurred about 3 p.m. One juvenile distracted her, the woman said, while the other kicked her in the leg and grabbed the package from her hands. A third juvenile was in the area and did not participate, police said. 

A 25-year-old man said he was carjacked at gunpoint in the Upper 9th Ward after an armed man put a gun to his head and demanded his keys. The victim said two men approached him about 9:57 p.m. in the 3700 block of N. Rampart Street. The two men fled in the grey Lexus, with a Louisiana license plate reading ES230. 

A 32-year-old man said he was meeting an acquaintance for a drug transaction in the Lower 9th Ward when he was robbed at gunpoint, according to police. Two men, one armed, approached the robbery victim about 11:11 p.m. in the 5200 block of N. Rampart Street, according to police. The victim said he was forced to the ground, and the men made off with his wallet, cell phone and cash.
