Car used in Algiers shootout

This car was used in a shootout in Algiers on March 14, according to NOPD.


New Orleans police said they are looking for a black, four-door car used in a shootout in Algiers on March 14.

Police said the shootout happened in the 1500 block of Newton Street shortly before 3 p.m. March 14. Two people inside the car exchanged fire with a person on foot in the block, according to police. The car then fled the scene eastbound on Newton Street, police said.

Police said that a bystander was struck in the arm by a gunshot during the incident.
