A man and a juvenile said they were in a New Orleans East home when armed men knocked on the door claiming to be police, then proceeded to rob them. 

The incident occurred about 2:33 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the 7100 block of Martin Drive. 

The armed men forced their way into the home, according to a report from New Orleans police, before fleeing with cash. 

Below are additional incidents reported to the NOPD between Wednesday and Thursday morning. 

A 33-year-old woman said she was in the Marigny area when a man jumped out of a nearby truck and stole her purse. The incident occurred about 8:12 p.m. in the 400 block of Mandeville Street, according to an NOPD report. The woman held onto her purse and was dragged about 40 feet, according to the report. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

A man told police he was delivering food in Central City when he was robbed at gunpoint. The incident occurred about 10:56 p.m. in the 2200 block of S. Claiborne Avenue, according to an NOPD report. The armed man allegedly took cash and the food before fleeing on foot. 

A 57-year-old woman said she was walking near the CBD when a man began running up behind her and stole her purse. The incident occurred about 11:12 p.m. in the 700 block of Magazine Street, according to an NOPD report. The woman said she was struck in the back before the man fled on foot.
