A woman was stabbed multiple times and is in critical condition after an overnight armed robbery at a Raising Cane's restaurant in Kenner, police said.
Around 1:25 a.m. Wednesday, Kenner police responded to an armed robbery at Raising Cane's at 3344 Williams Boulevard. Two men allegedly robbed the restaurant, and one of them stabbed a 21-year-old woman, a shift manager, multiple times, Kenner Police Department spokesman Lt. Brian McGregor said.
The two men then fled to a waiting vehicle. Police believe at least three people were involved in the incident, McGregor said.
The victim was transported to an area hospital and remains in critical and unstable condition early Wednesday, McGregor said.
The restaurant is expected to be closed for the rest of today and possibly tomorrow.
