Some of Louisiana's top-ranked schools are within the Orleans Parish School District, according to a rankings report on U.S. News & World Report.

Among the 2015 list of best high schools in the nation, Louisiana has four gold, five silver and 81 bronze medal schools.

Benjamin Franklin High School in New Orleans is listed as number one in the state, with three other New Orleans schools listed in the state's top 10.
