The New Orleans Civil Service Commission, in conjunction with City Councilwomen LaToya Cantrell and Stacy Head, will host a job fair Wednesday.
The fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rosenwald Recreational Center, 1120 S. Broad St., next to the Pontchartrain Expressway.
The commission is looking to fill more than 100 open positions in 14 city departments, including accountants, emergency medical technicians, police officers and other jobs.
Civil Service Commission staffers will be at the fair to answer questions and to help applicants set up an online profile, which is required for civil service jobs.
Representatives of Job 1 and the Urban League of Greater New Orleans also will be on hand to represent private companies that are seeking employees.
