With nine of 10 precincts reporting, Tina Miceli continued to hold a slim lead over Eric Chatelain in the race for mayor of Harahan.

Miceli had 52 percent of the votes, with 2,153 ballots cast in her favor. Chatelain, meanwhile, had 48 percent of the vote, with 1,964 ballots cast for him.

Miceli, who is making her first bid for elected office, came out ahead of Chatelain as soon as returns began to trickle in Tuesday night. The margin between her and Chatelain, a sitting councilman, shrunk a bit as additional votes were tallied, though he had not been able to pull ahead.
