In the race for the Division O seat on the 24th Judicial District Court in Jefferson Parish, family lawyer Danyelle Taylor leads Marrero attorney Thomas Anzelmo, 56-44 percent, with 77 of 82 precincts reporting.

Taylor, 46, a Republican and lifelong resident of Westwego, has been practicing family law and some personal injury law since 1996, starting her solo practice on the West Bank in 2006.

Anzelmo, 43, an appointed Harahan magistrate judge, was a law clerk for 24th JDC Judge Henry Sullivan.

The two are running to replace Ross LaDart, one of two Jefferson Parish judges forced to retire after reaching the mandatory age limit.
