Tulane’s Ross Massey, Southeastern’s Brennan Breaud, UL-Lafayette’s Nick Lee named Freshman All-Americans _lowres

Tulane pitcher Ross Massey, Southeastern shortstop Brennan Breaud and UL-Lafayette pitcher Nick Lee were named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America team Wednesday.

Massey, a Catholic High graduate, led the Green Wave with a 10-3 record and 2.29 ERA in 18 apperances. He became the first 10-game winner at Tulane since 2005, when Brian Bogusevic (13), Micah Owings (12) and J.R. Crowel (10) all posted double-digit victories.

Breaud, a Destrehan High graduate, hit .293, with seven doubles, one triple and one home run. He had 26 RBIs and led the Southland Conference with 59 runs. Breaud also led the Lions with 20 stolen bases.

Lee, a South Beauregard High grad, was 7-1 with a 3.31 ERA this season.
