HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — One night after being embarrassed on their home ice by the Louisiana IceGators, the Huntsville Havoc got some revenge.
Scott Henegar scored six points, recording a hat track and three assists, to lead the Havoc to a 6-1 home victory. John Lidgett contributed two goals to the winning effort.
Huntsville’s power play was spectacular, scoring four times on the man advantage out of six attempts.
“The Jekyll and Hide performances continue,” IceGators coach Drew Omicioli said. “We played the polar opposite of how we played Friday night. Horrible penalties hurt us, and Huntsville took advantage of the power plays.”
Jeremy Boyer had the IceGators’ goal, a second-period power-play tally off assists from Austin Daae and Travis Armstrong.
The IceGators return to action Friday when they visit the Knoxville IceBears. Game time is 6:35 p.m. Central time.
