UNO 64, Bradley 51
The UNO men's basketball team took away a win against Bradley Wednesday night in the Carver Arena with a strong defense and good free throw shooting.
The win was the second in a row and the first on the road for UNO, which evened its record at 2-2. Bradley, meanwhile, dropped its fifth-straight contest to fall to 1-5.
Loyola Wolf Pack traveled to Lafayette on Wednesday evening to faceoff against the University of Louisiana-Lafeyette Ragin’ Cajuns. The Wolf Pack forced turnovers and were aggressive at the rim, but were unable to overcome the size and efficient shooting of the Ragin’ Cajuns, falling 106-62 in the exhibition game.
Kansas 59, Southern 47
The Southern Lady Jaguars were unable to come up with a win against Kansas State on Wednesday afternoon at Bramlage Coliseum, falling to the Wildcats 59-47.
The Southeastern Lady Lions (0-6) closed out a four-game road trip with a 67-27 loss at Xavier (Ohio) Wednesday night in the Cintas Center.
Nanna Pool led Southeastern with eight points and seven rebounds while Kyle Felton came off the bench to score six points. Taylin Underwood had six steals.
