RUSTON - quarterback Colby Cameron completed 15 of 20 passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns while Nick Isham was 19-for-27 for 212 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and Quinton Patton had six catches for 121 yards and three TDs as Louisiana Tech held its fall camp scrimmage Friday night at Joe Aillet Stadium.
Cameron’s three touchdown passes were all over 20 yards, connecting with Patton on two scores and Jacarri Jackson on another. Isham threw touchdown passes to Patton and Hunter Lee but also threw the lone interception of the scrimmage.
Patton led all receivers with 121 yards and three touchdowns while Jackson followed with four catches for 78 yards and a touchdown.
David Gru had three catches for 95 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown pass from Taylor Burch.
Burch was 4-for-14 for 121 yards and that one touchdown pass.
Ray Holley led the tailbacks with 13 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown while Lyle Fitte had 11 carries for 30 yards.
Defensively, Mike Schrang led with 16 tackles while Kevin Kisseberth notched two of the defense’s seven sacks. Dave Clark picked off Isham for his team-leading seventh interception of fall camp.
Jay Dudley, Antonio Mitchum and Chip Hester all contributed six tackles. Mitchum also recovered a fumble.
In the secondary, Levander Liggins recorded two pass break-ups while Justin Goodman broke up another pass. Ryan Williams also had a pass break-up.
Louisiana Tech returns to practice Sunday afternoon and resumes two-a-day practices on Monday.
