COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — LSU-Eunice shortstop Brennan Bozeman was one of three recipients of the Spalding NJCAA Division II Baseball Defensive Player of the Year Award announced Tuesday.

Others honored were sophomore shortstops like Bozeman: Riley Delgado from Columbia State (Tenn.) and Ryley Warnock from Northern Essex (Mass.).

Bozeman, a former Parkview Baptist standout, registered a .984 fielding percentage, which included four errors in 59 games. He was named the Region 23 Defensive Player of the Year. He ranked second nationally with 164 assists.
