NEW ORLEANS — The Tulane women’s basketball team returns to action Saturday when it hosts North Texas in Devlin Fieldhouse. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Tulane (7-2) will try to bounce back from a 65-64 overtime loss to Louisiana-Lafayette on Wednesday.

The Green Wave, which is averages 67.7 points per game, is led offensively by former University High School standout Whitney Bibbins. The sophomore forward leads the Wave with 12.8 points per game. Senior guards Olivia Grayson and Janique Kautsky follow Bibbins with scoring averages of 9.2 and 9.0, respectively. Grayson and forward Tiffany Dale share the team lead in rebounds with 6.6 per game each, and Dale paces the squad with 14 blocked shots. Sophomore guard Jamie Kaplan has a team-best 40 assists while Grayson leads the Wave with 18 steals.

North Texas (2-7) will look to snap a two-game skid after losing 71-68 to nationally ranked Oklahoma on Dec. 6 and Texas-Arlington 59-50 on Dec. 18.

The Mean Green, which average 68.3 points per game, is led by Alexis Hyder with 11.8 points per game. BreAnna Dawkins and Loryn Goodwin follow with scoring averages of 11.2 and 9.2, respectively.
