NATCHITOCHES - The remaining air dates for Cox Sports Television’s coverage of the 2011 Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremonies are set, including Sunday’s 10:30 p.m. telecast.

The air dates in August are 3 p.m. Monday, 7 p.m. Thursday, 9 p.m. Saturday, 11 p.m. Aug. 7 and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 30.

The telecasts will feature highlights from the induction ceremony held last month at the Natchitoches Events Center, along with showing the progress of construction of the permanent Hall of Fame building which is being built on historic Front Street in Natchitoches.

Inducted at this year’s ceremony were three former members of the New Orleans Saints - Vaughan Johnson, Morten Anderson and Buford Jordan - high school coaching legend Don Shows of West Monroe, basketball great Slick Watts (Xavier-New Orleans, Seattle, New Orleans Jazz), LSU baseball star and major-leaguer Todd Walker, Kyla Hall Holas (the first softball player of the Yvette Girouard era at Louisiana-Lafayette to be inducted) and the late LSU Athletic Director T. P. Heard.

This is the ninth straight year the event has been televised on a tape-delayed basis by Cox Sports Television. CST is carried on video distributors in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Virginia.

CST’s Lyn Rollins and Baton Rouge NBC 33 TV news anchor Tammi Arender return to host the ceremonies along with LSWA past President Kent Lowe, who again produced the broadcast for the LSWA.
