Kelly Wall and Roy Gay shot a 33 to win the FireQuest BREC Golf League at Dumas at Dumas Golf Club on Tuesday.

The format was a 9-hole blind draw best ball.

Jason Miller and Debbie Hebert shot a 34 and won a playoff to take second of Jason Arms and Kevin Gilles.

In the individual round, Arms had a 34 and won a playoff over Miller for first place.

Joey Suhayda and Kelly Wall (35) tied for third.

Youth golf

FONTENOT WINS AGE DIVISION TITLE: Kale Fontenot of Lafayette shot an 82 to win the boys 9-11-year-old age division at the Louisiana USSSA Junior Golf Tour’s stop at Calvert Crossing in Calhoun.

Canon Clark of Lafayette (84) was second in the division, while Anthony Lopresto of New Iberia was New Iberia was third with a 94.


GILMORE WINS MDA TITLE: Tim Gilmore of Bayou Vista won a 40-shoe playoff over Pat Pertuit of Marrero to win the Class A championship of the Harahan MDA Horseshoe tournament at The Kamp in Harahan.

Larry Pertuit of Marrero finished third in the division.

In Class B, Gil Gerard, Gary Verheide and Troy Rigby all of Harahan finished in a three-way tie at the end of regulation. Verheide defeated Rigby in a 40-shoe game, and Gerard defeated Verheide in a 40-shoe game after drawing a bye to take the title.

Cheryl Matt of Lake Charles won the Class C title, followed by Mike Fenseca and Connie Mendel of Harahan.
