MONROE — The Southeastern Louisiana baseball team got career nights from Kyle Cedotal, Andro Cutura and Jameson Fisher and cruised to a series-opening 13-4 win at Warhawk Field on Friday night.
Cedotal established a career high with four hits, and Fisher turned in his second-consecutive four-hit game for Southeastern (7-2). Brett Hoffman and Jacob Williams had two hits apiece and combined to drive in seven runs.
Six Southeastern players stole at least one base.
Cutura (2-0) earned the win, tossing a complete game and striking out a career-high 10 batters. He limited ULM (4-6) to four runs, three earned, on seven hits and one walk.
The series resumes at 6 p.m. Saturday. Sophomore right-hander Tate Scioneaux (2-0, 0.75) will start for Southeastern. ULM will counter with freshman right-hander Josh Leone (1-1, 6.14).
