Felix’s LA Bad Boy Promotions returns to the Lamar Dixon Expo Center on Saturday, Oct. 15, for Night of Champions III. In this finale to the Night of Champions mixed martial arts tournament series, fighters will compete for eight amateur championship belts.
Felix Lipoma, owner of LA Bad Boy Promotions, said this is expected to be the largest live ultimate cage fighting event to hit Louisiana. Doors will open at 5 p.m. so that fans can enjoy preliminary entertainment and extras.
There will be autograph signings by UFC fighters “Crazy” Tim Credeur and Dustin Porrier as well as local favorite and newly signed Strikeforce talent Shawn “Savage” Jordan. Fans can also meet and greet the cast of “Swamp People,” walk through the bike and car show and hit the dance floor with live musical entertainment by Black Market Halos and Sofa Kings.
The fights are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m with eight amateur preliminary bouts, eight amateur title bouts and two professional bouts.
The professional fights of the night will not be championship bouts, but are expected to rock the cage. Forty-year-old Sean Machoda, fighting out of former UFC veteran’s Sam Hoger’s MMA training facility in Houston, Texas, is taking on David McMurray out of Tyler, Texas.
Anyone out of Hoger’s MMA is said to put on an entertaining fight.
Kevin Aguilar, also out of Texas, will be fighting local talent Ron Jacobs from Ancona’s MMA in Metairie.
Tickets start at $20 for advanced general admission. Visit http://www.felixslabadboy.com/ for more information.
