Zach Mettenberger’s long wait finally ended on Saturday when the Tennessee Titans took the former LSU quarterback with the second pick of the sixth round (No. 178 overall).

Mettenberger had been projected to go as high as the second round, but health concern saw his stock drop.

Four other quarterbacks went ahead of Mettenberger Saturday, including Aaron Murray of Georgia to Kansas City and AJ McCarron of Alabama to Cincinnati, both in the fifth round.

Three picks after Mettenberger, running back Alfred Blue became eighth LSU player taken when the Houston Texans tabbed the ex-Hahnville High standout.
