Patrick Reed is finally a proud papa.

The former University High golfer and his wife, Justine, welcomed their first child, Windsor-Wells Reed, on Thursday afternoon at Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center in Houston, according to the PGA Tour.

The family had not released any pictures or further details as of Saturday afternoon.

Reed withdrew from last week’s HP Byron Nelson tournament in Irving, Texas, and didn’t enter this week’s Crowne Plaza Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas, because of the impending birth of his daughter.

Reed said before the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in April that he hoped to be back on tour with Justine and the baby in time for the U.S. Open, set for June 12-15 in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Since winning the WGC-Cadillac in March, Reed has missed three cuts (Masters, Zurich, The Players) and finished no better than a tie for 48th in two other events (Arnold Palmer, RBC Heritage). Reed, who also won the Humana Challenge earlier this season, still came into this week ranked fifth in FedEx Cup points with 1,364.
