NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Achille Campion scored a goal in the 58th minute Saturday as the Baton Rouge Capitals eked out a 1-0 victory over the Nashville Metros at Ezell Park Stadium.

Kyle Brookes tended goal, allowing the Campion score to stand as the difference in Baton Rouge’s shutout win.

With the shutout, the Capitals snapped a four-match winless streak dating back to June 16. Baton Rouge is now 5-6-1 in the Premier Development League.

The Capitals also beat Nashville 1-0 on June 5 in Baton Rouge.

The Capitals return to New Orleans for a match with the Jesters soccer club, a 1-0 winner over Baton Rouge on June 29. The match begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Pan American Stadium.
