LAFAYETTE — Defending Division I-Class 5A state champion Northshore High-Slidell won the six-team I-10/I-12 Girls Showdown swim meet held Saturday at the Crawfish Aquatics pool.
Northshore finished with 553 points, ahead of second-place St. Joseph’s Academy (501), St. Scholastica-Covington (353) and Lafayette High (194).
St. Joseph’s had the meet’s lone double-winner, MK Miller, who took first place in the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 13.90 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:01.08.
Northshore won the 200 (1:44.52) and the 400 (3:47.44) freestyle relays.
The Panthers also got first-place finishes from Emma Doll (50 freestyle, 26.11 seconds) and Amy Pennington (500 freestyle, 5:19.91).
Other winners for SJA were Victoria Padial (200 freestyle, 1:59.80), Katelyn Rodriguez (100 freestyle, 56.70) and Cameron Balkom (100 breaststroke, 1:07.45).
