The LSU football team moved closer to accomplishing its goal for the 2015 recruiting class: bring in a sizable class of offensive tackles.
Jevonte Domond, a junior-college player from Arizona, has committed to the Tigers, multiple recruiting sites reported Tuesday. He’s the third offensive tackle of what is now an 11-person class.
Verbal commitments are non-binding. Prospects can make commitments official on National Signing Day, Feb. 4.
Domond, a 6-foot-6, 300-pounder who played at Glendale Community College last season, is a four-star recruit according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings. He’s listed as the No. 1 junior-college player in Arizona and the 10th-best juco offensive tackle in the nation. He had offers from Miami, Florida and Wisconsin, among others.
Domond joins two tackles in the 2015 class: five-star Maea Teuhema from Texas and three-star Adrian Magee of Franklinton High.
