STARTING PITCHERS: SLU, So. RH Mac Sceroler (10-3, 2.18) vs. Rice, Sr. LH Blake Fox (4-7, 2.76)

WHAT TO WATCH: Nerves shouldn’t play a factor. Southeastern is making only its fourth NCAA regional appearance in school history but its second in three seasons. Rice hasn’t missed the tournament since 1995.

ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE: Rice has been known for its pitching all season, but the Owls scored 46 runs in the Conference USA tournament. If the offense, defense and pitching get hot at the same time, Rice is a force to be reckoned with.
