The three-day weekend of the inaugural 2015 Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana will feature 11 races, with the main event set for 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, organizers announced Monday.

“We are very excited and proud of the racing lineup we have development for our inaugural event,” said Tim Ramsberger, vice president and general manager of the Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana. “We look forward to announcing soon information about our off-track ancillary entertainment that will surely complement our racing schedule and provide a full festival of weekend of entertainment and activities for the entire family.”

The action on Saturday, April 11 will feature four support series qualifying sessions, Verizon IndyCar Series practice and qualifying and four support series races.

The event is scheduled to include several big names on the Verizon IndyCar Series, such as defending series champion Will Power; three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Helio Castroneves and defending Indianapolis 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay, along with Sebastien Bourdais, James Hinchcliffe, Marco Andretti and Juan Pablo Montoya.

Single-day tickets are now on sale, and prices range from $15 (child) to $80 (adult). The Friday schedule is filled with multiple practice sessions for each series.
