Tim Town shot a 36 for the low front nine score in the Howell Park Weekly Sunday tournament, while Jeremy Smith’s 33 was the low score on the back nine.

The tournament format featured individual gross scores over 18 holes.

Dave Raby had a 71 and won a playoff over Smith for the top low-round score. Noland Turner (72) was third.

HOWELL-O-WEEN TOURNAMENT WINNERS NAMED: Parker Johnson and Mike Johnson shot a 60 to win the championship flight of the BREC Howell-O-Ween tournament hosted by Howell Park Golf Club. The format was as two-player scramble.

Robbie White and Beav Smith III (61) finished second in the championship flight, while Dave Raby and Bobby Cheely (63) took third.

Gerald Farriel and David Orso (67) won the first flight, while Kevin Hubbs and Duke Kootnz (68) were second and Chales Morales and Brian Boogaerts (68) third.

Ryan Leger and Ryan Evans (71) won the second flight, followed by Hunter Spedale and Daniel Richard (71) and Justin Sanborn and Daniel Long (73).

DILLION, DANIELS WIN TUESDAY TOURNAMENT: Hank Dillion’s 66 was the winning low net score, and Eugene Daniels had a 79 for the top low gross score in the Howell Park Weekly Tuesday tournament.

Format is individual stroke with net scores over 18 holes.

BOURQUE, CLOUATRE WIN PELICAN POINT TITLES: Aaron H. Bourque was the gross champion, and Diane Clouatre was the net champion in the Ladies Club Championship at Pelican Point Golf and Country Club.

HORSESHOES

GILMORE, MICHEL-LANDRY TEAM WIN CITY TITLES: Tim Gilmore of Bayou Vista won the Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association singles city championship, and the team of Dudley Michel of Bayou Vista and Clyde Landry of Pierre Part on the BHPA doubles city championship.

Gilmore went 6-1 to win the Class A title, while Al Dodson of Morgan City was second and Michel was third.

In Class B, Burnie Williams of Morgan City, Jimmy Percle of Morgan City and Ryan Fryou were tied after regulation. Williams defeated Fryou in a 40-shoe game, and then scored another 40-shoe game win over Percle for the title.

Bayou Vista’s Lester Waguespack won the Class C title, while Hilton Rhodes of Bayou Vista was second, and Randy Giroir of Berwick finished third.

Winners in each class met in round-robin play to determine the city champion. Gilmore went 2-0 to take the title, while Williams was second and Waguespack third.

The Michel-Landry team defeated Williams and Julius Lovell of Bayou L’Ourse in a 50-shoe game to take the doubles title. Fryou and Giroir finished third.
