NEW ORLEANS — The Tulane football team assembled for the first time on Sunday as all 98 players reported for fall camp at the James W. Wilson Center and will spent the day getting their affairs in order before hitting the practice field for the first time at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
The Green Wave’s practices are open to both the public and the media and will take place at the Westfeldt Practice Facility.
“It was great to have everyone back and we’re excited to get started on Monday,” coach Bob Toledo said. “I think as a whole the team worked extremely hard over the summer to get into shape for camp. We’ve got a lot of hard work ahead of us, but I really like the attitude of our team right now and I am looking forward to a productive week of practice.”
Tulane is comprised of 85 scholarship players and 13 walk-ons, which are the most during Toledo’s five-year tenure. Tulane will spend the next three weeks going through preseason camp drills before classes begin Aug. 29.
