The LSU Shreveport men’s basketball team is a win away from playing for a national title.

After upsetting top-seeded — and undefeated — Columbia (Mo.) College in the NAIA Division I quarterfinals Saturday in Kansas City, Mo., the Pilots will try to take the next step Monday. In their first trip to the national semifinals, they face No. 13 seed Georgetown (Ky.) at 8 p.m. for a spot in Tuesday’s championship game.

LSUS, the top-scoring team in NAIA Division I in the regular season, took down Columbia College 79-78 on Saturday. That continued a run that included upsets of No. 8 seed Pikeville (Ky.) and No. 9 seed Evangel (Mo.) in the first two rounds.

Georgetown (26-8) used a late 12-2 run to beat Culver-Stockton (Mo.) 86-82 in the quarterfinals.
