ENID, Okla. — Steven Sensley and Jordan Romero each hit home runs and pitcher Ben Braymer scattered seven hits in eight innings as LSU-Eunice opened the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II World Series with an 8-1 vicory over Kellogg (Michigan) Community College on Wednesday.

Romero and Sensley both went 2-for-4. Romero had a solo homer in the fourth for top-ranked LSU-E (46-9), and Sensley, who had three RBIs, added a two-run homer in the eighth.

Bramer gave up one earned run, walked two and struck out six.

The win sets up a matchup with No. 3 Western Oklahoma at 6 p.m. Thursday in the double-elimination tournament. Western Oklahoma advanced with a 9-1 win over No. 2 Frederick (Maryland).
