The team of Ken Kennelly and Lou Stuart won the MGA Fall Classic golf tournament Oct. 25-27 at The Country Club of Louisiana.
Kennelly and Stuart also won the third flight, while the team of Bill Bernhard and Ed McNorton won the first flight.
John Gremillion and Warren Leger won the second flight.
FAIRCHILD, LEE WIN PELICAN POINT LADIES EVENT: Maria Fairchild was the gross champion, and Darlene Lee was the net champion in the recent Pelican Point Ladies Club Championship.
Suzie Davis was the first-place gross winner, while Eva Gonzales was the first-place net winner.
GATES, AUSTIN TAKE WALK TO REMEMBER TITLES: Marshall Gates and Leslie Austin were the overall winners of the Alzheimer’s 5K Walk to Remember held Oct. 20 at LSU’s Old Front Nine.
Gates was the overall male winner with a time of 19 minutes, eight seconds, while Austin (21:40) was the overall female winner.
Keith Babin (19:37) was the masters male winner, while Julia Aycock (22:31) was the masters female winner.
The grandmasters male winner was Robert Kuhlmeier (22:08), and Barbara Dutrow (23:05) was the grandmasters female winner.
The one-mile fun run winners were Zachary Babin and Maxne Crump.
STUDENTS EARN MEDALS: Minami Ryu Martial Arts students recently earned medals at the Louisiana Open Judo Championship held at Hebron Baptist Church in Denham Springs.
Caitlyn McGowan took first, Alex Mackel finished second and Ryan McGowan finished first in junior division light and second in junior division medium.
