EUNICE — LSU-Eunice scored runs in its final at-bat twice as the Bengals swept a doubleheader from North Central Texas College 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth and 3-2 in the bottom of the 11th Friday.

In the first game, LSU-E (8-4) loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth on two singles and a walk. Zach LaFleur then delivered a single to center to score Jordan Romero with the winning run.

Zack Hamilton pitched the final two innings striking out five with no hits to get the win.

Ben Braymer started the second game and gave up two seventh inning runs before being relieved. Haden Guidry and Sam Walley combined to shut out NC (9-4) the next four innings.

Steven Sensley led off the bottom of the 11th with a single to right, and eventually came around to score the winning run with one out.

TULANE 1, SAN FRANCISCO 0: Tulane and San Francisco were scoreless through eight innings before the Green Wave (4-1) broke through with a run in the ninth.

Playing its first home game of the season, Tulane loaded the bases on a single and two walks with two outs. Tyler Wilson then drew a walk to force in the winning run. Winning pitcher Corey Merrill allowed five singles and two walks in seven innings. San Francisco starter Andrew Shew had a no-hitter through six innings, but was lifted after the eighth.

UT ARLINGTON 7, SLU 0: In Arlington, Texas, Chad Nack (1-0) struck out four and surrendered one hit through seven innings as the Mavericks (2-3) shut out Southeastern Louisiana (4-2) at the UTA Hilton Invitational.

Southeastern (4-2) had just two hits: a third inning single by Brett Hoffman and a pinch hit single by Kennon Menard in the ninth.

UTA generated all the offense it needed in the first inning on a two-run home run from first baseman Levi Scott.

NICHOLLS STATE 4, NORTH FLORIDA 3: In Pensacola, Florida, Marc Frazier (1-1) tossed six innings and allowed just one run with four strikeouts to lead Nicholls State past North Florida (2-3) at the Cox Diamond Invitational.

Joey Morales led Nicholls State (4-1) by going 2-for-4 and an RBI. Justin Holt was 1-for-3 with two runs.

UNO 5, ALCORN STATE 0: In New Orleans, Shawn Semple went 62?3 innings, allowing one hit and strking out 10 before exiting in the seventh, and a five-run fifth led the Privateers (2-3) at the MLB Urban Invitational

UNO’s offense struggled early but jumped on the Braves (1-4) with a five-run fifth. Their run began with a bases-loaded fielding error that allowed Chaz Boyer to score.

With the bases still loaded, Jonathan Santana scored on Sammy Capielano’s sacrifice fly, and Preston Calloway followed with a two-run double. Preston Marsh’s RBI single completed the scoring.

Calloway led the Privateers, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and one run. Capielano added a 1-for-3 performance with two RBIs.

Alcorn had three fielding errors and hit three Privateers with pitches. None of UNO’s runs were earned.

BRCC 8-0, MERIDIAN CC 0-2: Baton Rouge Community College broke open a tight game with seven runs in the top of the seventh in game one of a doubleheader.
