Seth Holley fired a 67-74—141 to win the championship flight of the Dumas Memorial golf championship over the weekend at Dumas Golf Club in Baker.
The format was individual stroke play, and par was 72.
Mike Drury (71-71—142) was second in the championship flight, followed by Shane Starns (72-70—142) and Jeremy Gautreaux (72-71—143).
Luke Gower (77-69—146) won the first flight, while Chad Braud (78-71—149) was second, Clint Skinner (75-74—149) third and Jack Terry (77-74—151) fourth.
Chad Blanchard (80-76—156) captured the second flight title, followed by Lyle Peak (80-76—156), Jason Miller (82-76—158) and Chuck Ellis (84-75—159).
Aaron Randolph (86-80—166) won the third flight, followed by Lyle Walker (87-79—166), Daniel Chambless (85-86—171) and Louis Adams (100-92—192).
9-9-9 TOURNAMENT: The team of Sam Lavigne and Richard Young had the first-place gross score in the championship flight of the Pelican Point MGA 9-9-9 tournament Saturday.
Tony Frederic and Clay Waddell had the first-place net score in the championship flight.
Malcolm Dugas and Jay Leblanc had the second-place gross score in the championship flight, while D.J. Johnson and Mike Waguespack had the second-place net score.
In the first flight, Ricky Carter and Steve Martin had the first-place gross score, while Kevin Harrison and Brian Harrison had the first-place net score. The second-place gross score went to Hubby Lavigne and Carl Amedee, while Joe O’Banion and Keith Harrison had the second-place net score.
In the second flight, Bill Ragsdale and Keith Bruner had the first-place gross score, while Pete Robbins and David Amedee had the first-place net score. Joe Erickson and Aaron McKenna had the second-place gross score, and Chester Campbell and Shane Holdridge had the second-place net score.
SCRAMBLE WINNERS: The Island Country Club team of Karla Neal, Patsy Picard, Brenda Mayer and Kara Hill had the first low gross score of 64 at the recent Baton Rouge Women’s Interclub Golf Association team scramble at Webb Park hosted by the Westdale Ladies Golf Association.
The second low gross score went to The Island Country Club team of Teri Ducote, Margaret Leto, Chinkie Cointment and Sammye Crawford with a 69
Santa Maria’s team of Gracie Purvis, Nancy Cleveland, Pat Morgan and Peggy Berniard had the first low net score with a 57.625. The Westdale Ladies Golf Association team of Donna McCurdy, Michelle Remington-Remo, Tina Griffin and Karen Toney also had a 57.625 but finished second after the tie was broken by a scorecard playoff.
