Weekley posted his number in the morning wave, and deJonge weathered a 78-minute rain delay in the afternoon to pull even after 18 holes. Ben Martin holds the course record of 62, shot in the opening round last year.


2David Hearn and Sean O’Hair share third at 65, one shot better than Daniel Berger, Erik Compton, Brian Davis, Mark Hubbard and Greg Owen, all at 66. Past champion K.J. Choi, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day and Ben Crane head a large contingent at 67.

2Sean O’Hair holed out from 123 yards for an eagle -2 on No. 1, his first hole, a 390-yard, par 4. It helped propel him to a course-record tying 6-under 30 on the front nine.
