Pat Fabacher shot a low gross score of 72 to win the first Bayou St. John Ladies golf tournament of the season.

The first flight low net winners were Sandy Canella with a 65, followed by Judy Nichols (66).

Nichols was also the closest to the hole winner, while Patt Higginbotham won low putts with a 32.

Paula Hidalgo won the second flight low gross with an 89. Diane Palmisano fired a 73 to edge Charlene Tregre by one stroke to capture low net.

Stephanie Thomas won low putts with a 32 and also won closest to the hole.

TEAM WINS TITLE: The Mandeville/Covington ‘A’ team, captained by Thomas Eirmann, won the Men’s 55s 3.0 title at the USTA League 55 and Over Southern Sectional Championships, which wrapped up Sunday in Asheville, North Carolina
